Things that helped me through my PhD:
1. Get a document management software, e.g. Endnote, use it and stick with it. I favour Endnote
as my university's thesis template can integrate Endnote.

Generally, it's to answer the,"SO, WHAT?” and “WHO CARES?"

Yes! Yes! Our PhD isgreat, 'world shattering' work and 'solve the world's problems' BUT, SO, WHAT? andWHO CARES?. These are very important questions to answer, despite the brieflength of question. The length is about a page or two in the conclusion chapter.

This is the BIGGER PICTURE= CONTEXT. Usually, there are two types of implications:
